Members pighood
What is the big deal with Metasynth? Never found it that interesting to my sow ears. Does one really turn jpg's into sound?
Members realtrance
One can even turn the earth's magnetic field into sound, if one wants: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Dodge Seriously. One of the early things that turned me on, early, to electronic music. :blah:
Members donaldcrunk
What is the big deal with Metasynth? Never found it that interesting to my sow ears. well, i mean that jpeg crap is interesting from a theoretical standpoint i guess, but practically its just a really smooth running program. automating effect parameters in the effects section is really _easy_ - you can bounce to audio real quick n simple and then do the same thing again. it takes like a minute to turn a drum loop into a tornado or a violin or something of that nature, it's really nice for what i do when i need to turn some dude's guitar into an ocean. i don't really use it as a sound source, but i like the effect modulation possibilities and the fact that it's really really easy on my poor CPU. it also doesn't seem to crash, which everything else i own definitely does. i give it six stars out of seven: great job.
