Deciding whether to buy an SP-303 or SP-404

I'm on a tight budget, and need some advice which sampler to get. I have an external sequencer (Alesis MMT-8) and a midi keyboard so the ****ty sequencing capabilities and non-velocity pads don't matter.

1) I would want to be able to access all four banks with a midi keyboard simultaneously. I have a S1000HD rack sampler with 40mb HD right now so I'm used to being able to access a ton of samples at once. Basically, can I load up all four banks on the SP 303 with samples. I ask because I've read things saying that loading samples on Bank A and B don't work or C and D, etc. etc.

2) If I'm not interested in the sequencer, portability, and don't necessarily need more than 32 samples, are there any advantages to spending the extra 150 or so for an SP-404?
