Members Outkaster
I read it was good but the console felt very crowded when you sat it because of the size of the manuals. I don't think it took off because it was kind of expensive.
Members a_rose2025
I thought I was the only person in the western hemisphere who's got a viscount. Ha! Mine is called the D-9. All my friends and bandmates since college have called it "the discount." Now I use it as a controller for the lower manuals on my nord. It's got great bass tones though. always wanted to use it for a jazz/jungle trio as the left hand.
Members NYCCane
i am now the owner of a viscount DB-3.....everything sound on sound mentioned in their review regarding the effects is correct.....leslie and overdrive are unuseabe, and CV are weak as well....HOWEVER, the accuracy of the emulation is BEYOND BELIEF GOOD....noise and keyclick are excellent as well, and the keyboard feels great......ive yet to play a hammond clone whose tone is so inviting..... Members Dave Bryce
I have the Oberheim version of the double manual - the OB5. I actually think it's excellent. I have no problems with it, except for the fact that the overdrive is a bit lighter than I'd like, but that's way easy to get around. However, from what I've been told, the technology in the double manual is different from the single manual OB3 squared or the tabletop OB3. I actually had the tabletop, and didn't care for it. Don't know how closely the DB units are to the OB units... dB
