Members yk_42
I have the opportunity to purchase a used Hammond M3 with a (very) used Leslie 147 for about US $700. I'm new to the organ market, so is this a good deal or should I keep looking? As far as I know, both units are in good playing condition. Thanks
Members zxcvbnm098
That is indeed a good deal assuming both work properly. The Leslie alone is worth that. Double check though to make sure the Leslie has the amp in it. Sometimes it was removed and the Leslie was powered by the amp in the Hammond. If that's the case, it's still probably just worth it, but you should try to get it for less.
Members eric
Great deal. Grab it while you can. Offer $500 and see if you can make a it a deal all of us will drool over.
Members Jonny_Q
I got the exact same rig for $1000 USD. The connection kit + tech labor charges to have the leslie hooked up to the M3 are crazy (like $150 for the kit, and the tech was going to charge me like $300 for hooking it up!!!) So, if you can find them all together, and everything works - go for it! I love my rig.
Members Outkaster
An M-3 in good condition is worth $200-$350. The Leslie is worth $400-$900 depending on condition.

The cabinet would have to be flawless. E-bay has ruined the whole market for this stuff.
