This post is hilarious. What's even more funny is that everyone is so polite at Korg Forums that they won't make fun of him ;)

"I just got my brand new Oasys 88. I have never done any sampling before. Also I don't know much about Karma. Is there any chance that any of you might be willing to talk to me on the phone about the Oasys?

I want to be able to create 80 minute Techno/Trance mixes and perhaps be able to perform 80 minute electronica sets, etc. I don't really know any good strategy though on "what to do" as in which sounds to use, how to set them up right, etc.

Things I don't yet know much about: Karma, Sampling, Creating Combis, Creating Programs, the Legacy Audio Collection, using and assigning knobs and controllers for specific functions, any type of advanced editing etc.

Any advice?

If any advanced Oasys users out there are willing to talk to me on the phone, PM me and I will share my phone number."

Sounds like someone with a few grand to spare said. "Hmmm, I fancy I'll buy myself a keyboard today. What's the most expensive one I can't get?? Jeeves! Warm up the Bentley, we're off to make a purchase"

Indeed! :thu::D

Either that, or the person is confusing Friday the 13th with April 1st. ;)

"Hay guys, I just bought a Formula 1 car, but where exactly is the gas pedal? Also, this Schumacher guy, could you tell me about him?"

3 months later it'll be an expensive paperweight for us to catch on the 'bay. Yay!
