Members swardle
RS7K School @YouTube. Way cool! The RS-7000 is on its way to becoming a cult classic. Some of the video shots (LCD screen) were too dark, but great effort. It will be be great to see what happens.

Exactly why did this need to be a video? Videos usually show, oh I don't know, some kind of motion? 3. Please sir, don't make any more of these. It's his first video, he wants to cover everything, and since it appears to be the centerpiece of his studio, it's presumably important to him that he does. Let him find his stride before panning him too hard. Swardle - he said something about conversion and compression compromising the low-light content. I guess he'll do it under brighter lights next time, assuming the peanut gallery doesn't do him in.
Members XorAxAx
Syncretism, did you sell your RS already? EDIT: Oh wait, it was stikygum who was selling the RS. Anyway, I might buy one if I decide to sell my NI Komplete licenses.
Members syncretism
Yeah, I've never owned one. I never felt the instant love that makes me buy stuff like that.

Hey, I fully appreciate how difficult it is to record video, especially if you live in a place where light placement was not well-designed. I hope I didn't sound too negative. I hope this guy keeps making videos. The RS-7000 deserves whatever recognition it gets.
Members stikygum
Yeah, it was me, I just sold my RS7000, still in transit to the buyer. Great box, loved it, but I do hope Yamaha makes a bigger better one with storage, integration with a computer and linear sequencing on a big screen. Right now, I think it's the best thing out there to tweak sequences with. Would love to see more videos of it because I've yet to see a video of it actually tweaking sequences like it's capable. Do you guys know if the sound set of the RS7000 is in other Yamaha units like the EX5 or TG77? I liked the sounds in the RS7k, they seemed really modern.
