Members cartersymes
I have just won a Roland MS-1 sampler. Anyone know what memory it needs to fit more samples on it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=160112897733&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=006 Something like this? Massive thanks to anyone who has a clue.
Members Tony Scharf
I believe that unit used a proprietary roland memory expansion that if it wasnt installed in the base unit, is probably going to be hell to find. also, i dont think you could put more than, like, two meg in it or something like that anyway. Members cartersymes
Ok thanks. I thought it was like 20 mb. But I will look into it. So im searching for specialised memory cards?
Members cartersymes
Anyone got any ideas where i could get such a memory card?
Members ElectricPuppy
I think you found them; Those are PCMCIA format flash cards, so they SHOULD work, and I would stick with cards no larger than 20MB. However, I see that some older MS-1's have trouble with cards that were made later than the MS-1. There's supposedly a FW upgrade for the MS-1 available that might help if you find you have a problem.

Members pogo97
Golly, people throw away the 20 meg CF cards that come with digital cameras. Bet your next-door neighbour has a couple in his sock drawer. (Just checked my sock drawer, but no luck.)
