Korg Kaoss question

(I know, post #1 is a question, bad form, sorry.) So, I'm working on a series of ambient/shoegaze-y songs that I'd like to perform live by myself. They're all piano and guitar, and almost every one requires looping at least several phrases (think an Eluvium live show, and that's pretty much what I'm trying to do. Not overly groundbreaking, I know.) I've already got a RC-20xl for my guitar, as well as my delay and reverb pedals, but I can't switch around my patch cables during a live show when I decide to play a song on my Nord Electro2 next. So I'm looking for something that would allow me to add delay + reverb, plus the ability to loop for the Nord. I've never actually used a KP2 in person. Would it be useful for what I'm trying to do? And if not, what gear would you recommend?

Yes, you can ... you can have two samples on the KP2 ... but I've only had mine for about a week now .... so I haven't used it much ...

I'm more familiar with the KP3, which I've had for a few months .... I'd say get the 3 ... It's probably not that much more depending on what kind of deal you get on the KP2 ...

the 3 has better effects overall ... however, the effects ARE different and I'm trying to figure out the differences ...

the 3 seems less DJ oriented ... plus you have more sampling ability and four samples instead of two ...

I may return the 2 in favor of getting another three ... but I'm more for diversity and to me it would seem a little boring to have two of the exact same thing

Sorry ... however, I couldn't help myself ...

However, keep in mind the KP3 and 2 only record four about 16 beats max ... or something like that ... It's long enough ... but not indulgently by any means .... also, on the Kp2, the coveted, IMO, track motion is only activated by pressing a little switch ... which kind of defeats the purpse ...

However, however :blah: :blah: :blah:

I don't know if it's worth picking one up Dia, i'll be using it strictly as a midi controller because I don't have any instruments with keys to run through it. Nor do i plan to get any in the near future, i run software only on 3 screens :p

Can you spend some time with it as a midi controller and tell me how it works?

Dual functions, 8 channel mixer or an x-y pad, sound like fun to me, and could be very useful in my current setup. It'd save me the trouble of having to find some keyboard with a built in x-y pad, as all the ones i've looked into are poor in quality IMO.
