Members ChasIII
I have been trying to figure the intro out to this song for a long time. Do any of you know how it is correctly played? Thanks for the help.
Members leitner6
Their guitarist used to work at the Guitar Center near me. I had no idea who he was until that VH-1 The Motels reunion thing happened.
Members elsongs
Martha Davis sings with a bunch of dudes who were either in school or in diapers when "Only The Lonely" first came out. But she owns the rights to "The Motels" name, so practically anyone can be a member of "The Motels."

Members Ski
From memory - no keyboard at hand! - so I may have a note or two wrong, but I think this is close. Simple single note bass, with shifting two note pairs for the right hand. See if the way I wrote this below makes sense: Ab bass, F-Bb to G-C right handF bass, G-Eb to Ab-Eb right hand (holding the Eb with your 5th finger)Db bass, Eb-G to Db-Ab right hand Hope that helps. Yes, that does help, Thanks. Is the bass one note or an octave? Also did you let the bass note play during the right hand notes?

Also did you let the bass note play during the right hand notes? During the right hand notes, the bass should play a 5th, so after the Ab, when the right hand 4ths are playing, you play an Eb. Thanks for the help. Hi ChasIII -- I hate to say this, but shouldn't you be concentrating on the outro instead of the intro? I think the outro is way cool -- Peace --
Members EJ2
Here's a youtube link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uquEXROFja0 If you have a good "ear" you should be able to figure out the chord pattern. It's simple enough - A flat block (Aflat-Aflat) root in the lefthand and 5ths in the right - alternating F+Bflat to G+C and back. The patch sounds like a detuned/chorused L.A. E-piano layered with vintage strat guitar synth sound.
