Members sizzlemeister
Since we're all in a demo'ing mood, perhaps post some of you V Synth demos. They are few and far between on the 'net (excepting the Roland demos which are old hat). Please.
Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
These are from my V-Synth v2 I posted on an old thread - 001 Da 'V' Code Good example of the "elastic audio" on the V-Synth (VariPhrase) - you can "play" vocal phrases - or any phrase really. 002 Solar Circle A pad that sounds surprisingly analog - with a backbeat. 010 Arp Drops Superb arpeggio capabilities on the V-Synth. Also, the FX are top-notch (a bit overused in the factory presets though). 096 TB SqrDistBs the classic silver box - extreme distortion 158 EnjoyContrls fun with the Time Trip Pad 207 Ambient Hold Very hypnotic digital ambient pad 216 Hollow D-50 another beautiful ambient pad, based on a D-50 waveform I guess. 217 JP-8 SoftPad Very good emulation of a Jupiter-8 pad 223 OXY Pad Superb filters - typical Roland - in action. 263 Pad the Pad Nice, soft pad, very analog sounding. 273 Mad Times The dark side of the V-Synth starts here... 313 Old Timer A nice sample of an old B-3 + Leslie 329 Windy Nyle A crisp guitar + evolving pad 344 Mushroom Tea Typical Trance sound (a la Infected Mushroom perhaps?) 350 Megalon another typical Trance supersaw'ish sound. 412 LetMePray Again, the excellent VariPhrase at work. 434 Breathy Flte Lots of reverb and legato mode for this nice flute. 445 Modular KIT Nice glitchy sounds inspired by modular synths, I suppose. 447 RhythmAceKIT Cool analog drum machine sounds - Minor tweaking with the D-Beam and Time Trip Pad. 459 NuHouse KIT Tight House kit 468 Gangsta KIT Solid hip-hop kit 470 TechHouseKIT Wild Techno kit + D Beam and Time Trip Pad tweaks. --

Members donaldcrunk
http://myfreefilehosting.com/f/56b2a432e0_5.37MB song made with vsynth, excepting of course the bass guitar and regular guitar lead part. good mix of vsynth sample manipulation and vsynth VA junk. don't mind the mix, this was for a soundtrack and this track was mixed down off of (video) tape, the frequencies are way off. let me hunt around, i have a couple more v-synth exclusive tracks somewhere in here

Members Paolo Di Nicolantonio
Thanks guys (blush) For me, the synthesizer is a mission LOL I actually have a lot more V-Synth demos for you Here is how one knows I'm a synthesizer maniac: when I bought the V-Synth, I loved it so much that I recorded many demos (these are looong files) and listened to them during my commute to work, and at the gym. Am I the only one that does this sort of things? I hope not.. Anyway, for even more V-Synth demos (you'll need a fast connection unless you're a patient synth nut) - the pads on this synth are to die for... Roland V-Synth V.2 1-50 demos (15:57) (29.2MB) Roland V-Synth V.2 51-150 demos (28:42) (52.5MB) Roland V-Synth V.2 151-300 demos (49:07) (89.9MB) Is this enough demos for ya? ---

Members asynchro_nous
An excerpt from a longer piece I did quite a while ago that is just one V-Synth patch run through a Kurzweil Mangler and a Lexicon MPX-550. Variphrased loops -- you can get a taste perhaps of the way the V both simultaneously destroys and re-animates samples. Apologies for the MP3 compression and the abrupt ending, but that's Soundclick.... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=630159

Members asynchro_nous
This is {censored}ing brilliant! Was this done in real time? Thanks -- yeah all of the variphrase tweaking and other iterations were done to two tracks in real time and then processed further with the Mangler and the MPX. The two loops were taken from a piece I had done a few years before. You can get yourself into a very weird and wonderful zone with the V.

Members orangefunk
I sampled a long choir boy phrase into my VSynth a few years ago and played some chords. As the phrase was actually a melody in itself the combination of changing chords (a lot of stacked 4ths, some standard maj and minor 7s and 9s) while the melody played resulted in some interesting timbral/harmonic shifts... VSynth choir mangle The original sample sounded nothing like this... it might as well have been Aled Jones singing the Snowman song... something like that... Whats amazing to me is that after all these years I still love this little mp3, yet it was done in the first week I had the Vsynth and with minimal effort.
