Members bruto
Can't believe this SH-101 is at $796! Hard to say if it's a legit bidder, but still.... Are 101s the new 303s price wise, or is this just a sudden crazy spike? http://cgi.ebay.com/Roland-SH-101-Monophonic-Analog-Synthesizer-synth-Great_W0QQitemZ110183162835QQihZ001QQcategoryZ64386QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Members psychematic
The SH-101 should go for around $500. I've only seen one that expensive if it comes with the mod grip and maybe if it's a color other than gray. But yeah, unfortunately all psytrance producers these days think they need a SH-101 to make the same galloping bass line that everyone else is doing, so that synth is quickly becoming like the 303 where it's value is linked to an overplayed trend. Members zoink
The price of that auction is being driven up by a bidding war between a zero and single feedback bidder. I've seen this happen a thousand times, and it's annoying. Zero feedback bidders with no intention of buying artificially inflate the price and ruin the auction. Just look at the bid history for the auction. My prediction is that after the auction ends the (zero feedback) winner will back out, and the seller will offer it to the second low feedback bidder (who will also back out), forcing the seller to relist the auction or offer a 'second chance' to buy to the only legitimate high bidder, the number three bidder with 358 feedbacks. This is a perfect example of why many sellers don't allow zero or negative feedback bidders on their auctions. There are lots of flaky people (and a slew of just plain idiots) who mess up Ebay as a marketplace.
Members Don Solaris
Fake bids. Check the feedback of those two "bidders". One is 0, the other is 1. By the way, that SH-101 is in terrible condition. Potentiometer cap has permanent damage, signs of wear everywhere, including molten plastic.... Guest Anonymous
you can do most of that the 101 does with a Novation X-Station! Except get that analog smooth sound. Don't get me wrong the first VA I bought was a Novation Supernova II which I still have but, as much as I love digital saws and such analog filters seem to win for now.
