Yeah it was on in the mornings during school holidays circa 1978-81. I loved it, just fantastically drawn characters and brilliantly told stories...

also from wikipedia

It was broadcast in Canada in both English and French versions. In 2005, the viewing of the program in an Inuit classroom in northern Quebec led to a controversy with the local school board, who, amid community opposition, initially banned the teaching of evolution in schools as a result

Yes, I do remember this cartoon...

But who here remembers the most psychedelic cartoon of them all?

I LOVED the show and most of all, the MUSIC of this when I was a child - and wouldn't you guess, Solina strings through phaser and other synths... I had it me since I was a child :D

i wonder if they called it after the synth sounds? wattoo wattoo sounds like how a filter sweep might go?

i think the weirdest i remember was rhubarb and custard... filmed in wobblevision(!)

I remeber Lidsville and the Kroft Superstars!

Hello,

Standard Saturday morning fare, as was Puffinstuff. Those shows were produced by Sid and Marty Kroft.

There were many classics from back then, clips of which have popped up on You Tube. Groovie Ghoulies was another (circa mid seventies)

Anyone remember this cool show..

Heres the theme music

Whats the tune from 0.16 onwards?

I guess its all Bach....??

That ending is so cool...

It's a cut up version of the Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Bach. After playing the famous opening theme from the Toccata, it jumps to the opening of the Fugue, then cuts again to the end.
