Members fdelvecchio
I stopped into the Scam Ash in King of Prussia, PA to test drive the CP-300 and see if it was worthwhile to upgrade from my P-200. They had 2 of them on the floor. One had a nice weighted action that felt great (but same as my P-200, so no real need to upgrade). The other one, felt mushy and very different. Thinking it was just me after being at work all day, I called the sales guy over to verify, and even he said that they felt very different to him as well. I then asked which is the "real" keyboard action? Maybe it was a one off, and the one unit was defective, but just a little buyer beware warning I put out there. Members pink floyd cramer
Anytime I have laid hands on one it felt more like the P140 keybed than a P200 (which I used to own) and definitely lighter action than a P120 (current owner). I think this is THE piano to get BTW.
Members The Pro
The Sam Ash in Atlanta also had some broken keyboards on their display floor when I was there last spring, including a CP-300 that didn't work (just showed a blank green display). I suspect that keyboards in display at SA get the ultimate abuse. That didn't stop me from buying a CP-300 from soneone else... and I'm glad it didn't.
