Members bruto
.. sometimes they don't. What I mean is, sometimes I get home from work, fire up a synth or two, and just fill the room with an excellent vibe. However, other times, no matter what I do, I can't seem to make music. It happens with me and my guitars too. You either connect with the instrument, or it's an uninspired effort. Anyone else experience this?
Members Jez
All the time Especially when there's a "deadline", i.e. something has to be finished or worked out or written for the next practice and try as I might I can't go anywhere with an idea. The solution for me is usually to leave everything powered up and ready, but to bugger off and do something completely un-music related. Cook dinner, tidy or clean something, beer and a cig, and then when I get a good idea I can just run in and bash it out I almost have to take inspiration "by surprise" some days.
