I knew I could do better things with my money rather than traveling to cold countries at this time of the year... Thank you !

Guys, this one was really funny ! I knew that the guy wasn't happy to sell this beauty, and even hasn't left his phone number on the ad... I sent him an email and could set up a "meeting" this night. Had to let him show me his digital crap for about an hour and hear a few stories, all to make him not changing his mind ! I even had a "lesson" about analog synthesizers :D :D

It goes like this:

Dude:

"Well, this switch is what makes the noise you're hearing now... You see, this is a real 'analog' synthesizer with real wood panels, bla bla bla"

Me:

"Thanks buddy for showing it all to me, but I really have to go now, here's your money. Bye"

Gee,

I always find interesting things when opening these old beasts up.

This one had a power transistor floating with no contact with the heatsink at all! It has turned all white. Wonder it still works

However, our Juppie had the filter caps and transistor replaced and is now joyful and happy ! :thu:

So know it's official:

- Rio is indeed played on a JP4, and in general, I think about ALL arpeggios on that album are JP4 (not JP8 as many would say). I can guarantee that "Save your Prayer" arpeggios are 100% a JP4 ;)

- Human League's "I'm the Law" and "Don't you want me" bass lines are probably JP4. Also most arpeggios heard on Travelogue ;)

- I think the JP4's most powerful side is at its arpeggios and bass sounds.

- Generally, I think I'm in love

:D

btw, no tuning or memory problems. So far all is fine :thu:
