Members Pierreb
Hello fellow musicians. I currently have a Yamaha ES6, Korg radias and Fostex Mixer. This arrangements serves me well. However I feel that adding a sampler to the mix would increase my creative flow a bit more. The sampler would mostly be used for SYNTH sounds,VOCALS and drum loops. Would you consider adding a LAPTOP with Fast Track Pro with software sampler or go with the Akai MPC 1000 or 2500 Thanks.
Members ElectricPuppy
I wouldn't consider adding a computer to a computer-free setup unless I absolutely had to. In that way lies madness. Get the Akai.
Members Yoozer
Well, you already have the ES6. There's a sampler in there. Why not use that? Put in 512 mb of memory and you're off better than most separate hardware samplers.
Members Pierreb
I appreciated your response however the integrated sampler on the Motif ES is not the most user friendly and the load time is terrible. You will find quite a few good debates on Motifator.com against the ES workflow in favour of the Akai MPC perhaps the newer model XS is better?.
