Members tim gueguen
How much do you want to spend? Are you strictly interested in a controller, or do you want something that has it's own sounds? How many keys do you want, and do you want them weighted? You can get something like the Korg K61 or the M Audio Keystation 61 for around 150 bucks if all you want is a controller keyboard with no internal sounds and synth action keys. Oops, sorry, I didn't see the UK location, but so I'm not sure in the prices in pounds, but those are a couple of budget choices.

Members UMT
I've got the Behringer 61 key UMX controller and love it. Nice piece of equipment for around 150.00... It has nice feel and surprising well built for the bucks. (I sold keyboards in a store for awhile) Know your stuff tho because all Behringer manuals are written by aliens who are working as tech guys in Germany. Members polar69
Okay, if you can get into Hull go to sound control on Clough road, it used to be called Fox's music. Go into the back and ask for "Dave". Not only will he sell you a controller he will also demo you all the keyboards in the shop. Including my favourite moog. Or google carillion
