Members kikedeolivos
Ok guys, here's the scenario. I have a PC with a Web Cam but the PC it doesn't have a consumer sound card installed. Instead, I have an M-Audio Delta 44. I know the Delta can't handle a mic (lack of preamp) in the inputs of the breakdown box. Can I just buy a small mixer (Mackie), a condenser mic and do Skype with that configuration, using my Yamaha monitors or headphones plugged into the mixer? Would Skype, or Messenger work with that configuration? Thanks for your input.
Members P321
Yes, it should do it fine. You would have to set the Skype recording input to the MAudio Monitor mixer panel, and then turn the volume input up in there, then set it so none of the actual outputs are set to monitor mixer, unless you want to hear yourself as well I think you need to use that method even if you could hook a mic up directly, since MAudio don't use the relevant driver methods that Skype would recognize otherwise.
