Members Blackwiz
With a Roland Fantom G8, can I have different parts in the sequencer play as Im playing with the parts, another part live at the hands? And can I switch on and off(mute) the parts on the fly at will? Anyone?

Members Blackwiz
So does it do it with ease? Okay let me give you a scenario to maybe help you see what exactly I want to do. Okay so say I have a little gospel band. I have a drummer and a singer. I also sing and play the piano. But until I get more deep into it and get more musicians and the whole nine, I have to do everything on the piano. Obviously music is more than just piano. So I would like to say, make a musical composition or a beat(but without the drums as they will be live). I play the piano live, and meanwhile, I want to be able to turn certain parts on and off, like say the chorus comes in, I can click it and bam, its playing while I play the piano part and sing...and heck, if I just wanted to grab the mic, could I just keep everything playing(including a prerecorded piano part) and get up and sing? Im also into computer based recording, as I have Cubase and a presonus firestudio interface, so I will definitely use the Roland Fantom for sounds and everything else, but as far as this thread, Im focused on figuring out how much the Roland Fantom G8 can do as far as Live play is concerned. Would someone recommend me another keyboard or is this the way to go. And if you have anything to say, please state why.
Members akliner
That seems like a Pattern Mode kind of thing (at least in Motif-speak). You should definitely be able to do this at the touch of a button. Please consult your manual.
