But, I'm just going to assume that the transition is going to take a while before it's 100%, and that the used stuff isn't Shawn's top bullet right now.

They don't seem too motivated to sell used gear anymore -- not sure, just seems that way considering the paucity of their used offerings since the "transition"

If you look at the pictures on Noisebug, there are a ton of unboxed synths, sequencers, etc. I think it depends on which one of them was responsible for which portions of the used items. Maybe Chuck bought most of the used stuff, or owns it now for whatever reason. It may just take a while for that end of things to pick up at AH. Shawn's still excellent to deal with, (I've picked up several items lately,) and he's just as quick as always, packs things well, etc. It seems like quite a few new items are coming back into stock, so it's possible he's just placing orders, and getting caught up.

Shawn no longer has a brick-and-mortar presence. this will affect stock levels of used gear, as most used gear (i assume) would come in through the front door and not the website.

He's re-ordered _everything_ of mine over again in Frac format, so he must be doing something right.

Its a guitar pedal. Most guitar players use either batteries or a multi-power source such as a Onespot or Godlyke supply. I was out and am still out of the Fulltone-supplied FPS-1 supply, as well as the Malekko 9v Boss-style adator. Though now I have the Malekko ones back in if you are really that interested. Still, the pedal was traded in without it, for a lot of people the psu is redundant, I don't think I'm "lazy" by not including it.

We're two people here, busy packing about 25 orders a day. If you order something you'll see how quickly it gets shipped out.

I do have some used gear right now, but not a huge amount. Certainly nothing like before. I update the site when I can.

The last week of May I uploaded about 40 used pieces of gear. Most of it sold within 2 days. That was the bulk of what I've had the last couple of months. I imagine that when I find time to add more used gear to the site (maybe this weekend) it'll sell just as fast.

PS: I know you use pedals with synths. That's fine, and I can accomodate with the PSU if asked, just if I would have searched out the PSU initially it would have raised the price. Since most of our customers wouldn't need it (yes, guitar player customers, most pedals are sold without power supplies) this seemed superfluous.

I noticed just in the past couple of days that they no longer have Future Retro stuff on their website. Seems a little strange to drop them.

Its not just us. There are no dealers for Future Retro anymore, Jered only sells direct now. If other dealers still advertise it its because they have old stock.

Long story but due to rising production costs (weak dollar, expensive cost of parts, manufacturing delays etc.) Future Retro was selling more units having dealers yet making less money. So Jered made the choice to no longer have dealers and to sell only direct.

Wonderful shopping experience. Got my monomachine from them.

I generally order from Shawn even though he's in CA, and it's difficult for him to match prices, since he needs to charge me 8.25% tax. I do this because I started dealing with him even before there was an analogue haven, I've done many deals with him, and I trust him and like the way he does business.

I have bought a lot of stuff from Shawn, even trying to get him to pick up lines that he didn't carry so that I could get it through him. Always top-notch service and my first call whenever I want/need/GAS something.

Hesitant to do business with after years of doing business ....because the guys now selling a used pedal w/o the pwr supply

the guitarist who buys it will be OK since he already has 49398748 pedals, but most of the people here (non keyboardists) wont have access to these extra PSUs.

I too thought this might be regarded as anti-AH, that's why I thought Shawn should be invited to partake in the conversation.

I think selling a battery powered device without a power supply is fair enough. Roland SH-101s and TB-303s are sold that way all the time. He was up front about it and mentioned its priced accordingly. So take it or leave it?

There were always "special" items for sale at Analogue Haven. I remember some of the bananacized Euro modules for sale. Not exactly a mainstream item to sell (even in our weird little synth niche), but a lot riskier than a guitar pedal with no power supply. And that was when AH had a physical front.

Now that I think about it I've purchased 3 guitar pedals with no supplies.
