Members Pr3Va1L
What's the cheapest keyboard for acoustic piano and realistic organ (if possible an emulator).. There's got to be something good out there! I've got synths but NO piano nor organ. Thanks for your help
Members chevybusa
Unfortunately, "cheap" and "good" don't go together in the case of good piano and organ sounds...how many keys do you need on the board?
Members chevybusa
Also, do you have to have a dedicated keyboard with the sounds or would you mind using one of the synths you already have as a controller?
Members sevensinner
Casio WK-3300/3800? Yeah, I know - "It's a Casio..." but still, the organ sim on it is actually pretty decent for a $300 keyboard. The 76 keys can be seen as either a plus or a minus. The pianos are "meh" but what do you expect?

Members chevybusa
+1 for the Kurzweil PC2R, I've got one and I can honestly say that it has the best piano, Rhodes, and organ sounds I've ever heard (It's also got the best sounds of everything else I've ever heard) but I don't know if it's "cheap" enough for you, the lowest you can get one is probably for $400 used on eBay... Members Pr3Va1L
A Kurzweil for 400$?! I don't really have a budget yet, but that's something I could save up for!
Members eric
Casio Rapman is good and cheap. But you might want to try out the Nord Stage, Nord Electro, perhaps the Kurzweil PC3x, Roland RD700GX, Yamaha Motix XS and others. They are priced accordingly to the features delivered. In this day and age, you get what you pay for, so don't go skimpin' and hatin'.
Members chevybusa
Yes, a Kurzweil rack unit for $400, no joke!!! Check out eBay, you'll see the PC2R go for that from time to time (that's where I got mine, it's probably still in the completed listings). I would definitely advise you to save up for it, I think you'll be really happy you did, I can honestly say it is the best sounding piece of gear I have ever owned, period, but especially for piano, Rhodes, and organs... Members The Real MC
What's the cheapest keyboard for acoustic piano and realistic organ I know too many guitar players with way mucho $$$ invested in guitars, amps, FX and then want the cheapest keyboard or PA they can buy. Members Pr3Va1L
Oh but I've got way mucho $$$ invested in keyboards as well.. Can't really say I'm badly equipped in VA synths right now... I wouldn't even see the need for anything else than my JP-8080 and the Novation has wonderful action and lots of expression options... Anyways, I don't consider myself a guitar player... I hate those guys! BUT here's something else... I just saw on some local ads that there is an E-MU Vintage Keys Plus rackmount available cheaply... What's the consensus on that module? I think it would fill my needs very well for the time being, until I can get something like an Electro... Anyone knows how easy it is to split parts on the module, though? Because I would likely use both the organ from the VK and my JP-8080 at the same time, on the same keyboard...
