Members Ed A.
Yeah, it's an ocarina app that runs on an iPhone (or iPod touch that has a mic input). You play the touch screen and use the accelerometer and/or blow into the mic for expression. That's why it sounds so realistic.

Gus Lozada
There are actually WiFi MIDI apps for the iPhone now. There is even a control for Pro Tools and Logic ! Have not tried them yet.
Members Ed A.
would an iphone be capable of wireless midi output ? I use ITM Keys and ITM MidiLab on my iPod touch. They use Open Sound Control (OSC) to communicate with a small (free) ITM app on my MacBook Pro. I start the ITM app on the iPod, then start Logic and the ITM app on my MacBook Pro and the iPod becomes a wireless controller that I use to play Logic's instruments. It works great. The ITM Keys app actually has aftertouch (senses finger position on a key) on its keyboard.
Members girevik
Interesting. I can't wait to be able to pick up an iPhone and start playing around with coding on it. I don't know crap about Objective C but what the hell.
Members SoundwaveLove
but can it do midi?
Members Ed A.
MIDI is so 1980's. OSC is meant to supersede MIDI: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSound_Control For Logic Studio, all I have to do is what I mentioned in my previous post, I don't have to change any MIDI settings in Logic. The ITM OSC app on the MacBook Pro seems to convert what is coming from the ITM OSC app on the iPod to a MIDI stream that Logic understands without any user intervention.
