Members skuller
"Behringer has announced their new synthesizer, the Nordic Lead. After hours of reverse engineering years of completely original design and development, they have created a professional, state-of-the-art synthesizer. You know that it's professional because they call it professional in the literature (several times), and it clearly says "Professional" on the back. The Nordic Lead will begin to ship in June 2007. The final pricing has not been set, but Behringer expect it to be around $14.95."

Members Meatball Fulton
With new Gibson Les Pauls listing at $2000+++++++ and vintage ones going into the tens (even hundreds) of thousands of dollars, you bet there's a counterfeit market for them just like for Rolex watches. One of the most famous sunburst Pauls of all time that was owned by a well-known collector and pictured in many books because of the outrageous flamed maple turned out to be a fake. Raises an embarassing question on how you value such an instrument...is it really worth less once it was found to be not genuine? It still looks and sounds the same.... Synths are too hard to counterfeit, who would bother.
