Members b3keys
Ok, I purchased a copy of Arturia's JP-8V a while back with the snow this weekend, decided to break out the box and try this. Loaded the CD-ROM. No problem. Software installed easily enough. Went to activate the syncro key and now I am getting asked to enter a 22-30 digit code. Well, there is no 22-30 digit code in the software box. I recieved a manual, a cd-rom, the blue USB dongle key and the JP-8V license number. That's it! Where am I supposed to find this 22-30 digit synchro code? Why does a relaxing afternoon turn into nothing but frustration?! Thanks for your help. Members Yoozer
Call/mail Arturia, send in a picture of the box + receipt with it. I hope that box was sealed when you bought it.
Members b3keys
It was sealed. I purchased it brand new. So, I should have received a card with a syncro ID included, but didn't?
Members Goofball Jones
It was sealed. I purchased it brand new. So, I should have received a card with a syncro ID included, but didn't? Call them. Get them on the phone. You may just have to exchange package with them directly....box and CD and everything else...and I'm sure they'll send you out a brand new one with an ID in it. They just have to make sure you're not some yahoo that downloaded it from some nefarious source.
Members mildbill
Sometimes those codes are in really small print in unlikely places. If you still have everything, check every piece of paper. It might be on a real small piece (like 1 inch square) with nothing else on it, and maybe stuck to something. I've had some strange adventures finding those codes sometimes. Of course, you may have just gotten a box without one.
Members b3keys
Thanks for the tips! I checked and re-checked. No code other than the JP-8V license number. Bummer. Have sent an email to Auturia.
Members ElectricPuppy
When I first got my copy of Stylus RMX, I experienced a brief panic looking for the "missing" key before I found it on a sticker on the inside of the user manual. I assume you at least flipped through the pages, maybe they did something similar?
Members b3keys
Thanks EP. I did check the manual front and back and throughout. No activation code is in site.
Members kpatz
Just another reason why I refuse to purchase software that requires a dongle. You would think that dongled software would have the keys already loaded into the dongle? You shouldn't have to enter a key.
Members evildragon
The only dongled software worth buying is Korg Legacy Collection Digital, IMO.

Members b3keys
Well, here is an update. Arturia returned my e-mail a week later with apologies for the delay. I was asked to down load the latest Synchrosoft file. Done.Tried to load the software. eLicense is not being recognized. Dongle has a license for Arturia Analog Factor 1.0. WTF?! I have the JP-8V software. Arturia has asked for a screen shot of my error. Sent. Waiting for a response. No wonder I like hardware synths better! Members ChristianRock
Well, the advice was to call, not to e-mail. Any company will give you better support if you call them. Some won't even e-mail back.
Members mildbill
Ain't software just loads of fun?
Members b3keys
ChristianRock, thanks for the "advice." I would have called if Arturia would have provided a phone number on their website or with the software documentation. They are assisting me now. Hopefully, I will be able to use the software soon. Members b3keys
My dongle key has an eLicense for Analog Factory 1.0 instead of Jupiter 8-V. I think someone packed the wrong dongle key with my software. Hopefully this can be straightened out shortly.
Members ChristianRock
Sorry, you hadn't said that they don't have any telephone to contact them. What kind of company is that anyway? I'd be afraid of buying anything from a company that has no phone information... Anyway, sorry, didn't want to sound like an ass. Hopefully they'll take care of your issues. Members b3keys
No problems. Now that Arturia is responding to my emails, they've been very helpful.
Members b3keys
It has been confirmed that the wrong dongle (Analog Factory) was packed in the Jupiter 8V software. So, now I am wondering what Arturia is going to do.
Members ggm1960
Just another reason why I refuse to purchase software that requires a dongle. You would think that dongled software would have the keys already loaded into the dongle? You shouldn't have to enter a key. I always check to make sure any software I'm considering buying does not require a dongle. If I'm stupid enough to give away software that I paid $300+ for, then I'm not smart enough to be able to use the software anyway.
