Members ripe
I love mine for pads and bass. I don't really like the variphrase technology except for atmospheric mangling. Having the VC-2 and VC-1 cards built-in makes it a no brainer over the regular V-Synth (and the color screen). cheersripe
Members Diametro
I feel pretty much the same way EXCEPT ... it's unfortunate the TWIN D-Beams were omitted ... It's an amazing performance feature and I really do use it all the time ... I think it's an incredible sounding synth and makes a great compliment to my Fan-X ... If those were my only two synths, I think I could happily get by ...
Members Logicat
I've not yet used it to create original sounds (although that 4-lines step-sequencer is way cool...), but for elastic audio manipulation, it's an uber-tool (and underestimated too). Let's say you want to make a funny song by using your voice or a friend of yours' voice - and you both aren't singers (ok, you've not to be too bad in singing ). The V-Synth allows you to correct voice's pitch and time in an impressive way. Just map your MIDI controller keyb's pitch bender to the "time shift" parameter, the mod wheel to the tone control...Sample your voice (many few-seconds samples, actually), MIDI-record on Cubase or whatever the playbacked sample, then overdub mod wheel/pitch bender action, to correct rythm and tone errors with realtime audio feedback. Better tune MIDI data manually after recording, to improve the result...Fantastic !! Moreover, this method is supreme for dance phrases : record your grandma laughing loudly and make her "performance" matching a nasty and acid techno bassline (add a little reverb for very scary effect ), or even your cat on heat, or yourself while making some strange sounds (ask not for examples, i'm a polite boy ), i mean LOADS of fun !!
Members astraeus000
Jesus, that does sound cool..... as long as its easy to get around on I think it might be just what the studio is needing.....I don't mind a slight learning curve....but I do like to gig out with the new stuff ASAP... Members astraeus000
I will keep you in mind after I get my Income tax refund......should be back very soon.... looks like used ones are running anywhere from $1000-1400.... I wonder how the V-synth would sound running through an analog filter.....Hmmmmmmm.......
