Are the headphones/monitors/mics at least DECENT enough to not sound/record like {censored}? Thanks!
Members plaid_emu
I used to own the 1st generation KRK RP6's. I thought they were nice monitors for the price. The highs were pretty clear and accurate. The bass wasn't too thin or sloppy. Better than the Event TR-6's I also used to own. I'm very happy with the ADAM A7's I'm using now though. I think I'd probably have to spend a few thousand more on monitors to take another "step up". They're definitely worth saving for if you're so inclined. I don't have any experience with the rest of the package but I suspect the mics are mediocre but workable if you've already got a nice preamp and a decent room. The headphones are probably decent enough to give you another perspective while monitoring or at least good enough for private jam sessions in those early morning hours. Members mildbill
That's a great price for what you get. Those mics are on the lower end of the pricing scale, but I had a chance to A/B them with some more expensive ones and they compared very well. That's what I figured. Plus with the 15OFF4U code, the package is way under $400.

Puppy, was your problem with the FireStudio Project an isolated incident, do you know?

Puppy, was your problem with the FireStudio Project an isolated incident, do you know? If the FireStudio cooperates for you, then I'd say it's a great deal. I'm pretty sure my experience was not unique, but I've also heard that plenty of people didn't have any trouble at all, so... YMMV.

Members ElectricPuppy
So... you haven't heard of anyone having any luck with their FS at all? My problem appears to stem from the fact that I A) run Vista, and B) have a multi-core CPU. I have my old P4 with XP still on it that I could try it out on, but I'm too lazy.
