Members televisionary
Or equivalent? Is it difficult to do? I mean, if I buy the parts needed, can I just swap them in without soldering? I'm referring to the buttons, like the patch and bank selector, and alpha/numeric keypad etc. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Members augerinn
Tact switches are soldered in. I've done them in a R8 drum module, but I haven't done a keyboard (yet). The hard part is gonna be getting to the PCB they are mounted on. Complete dis-assembly is prolly gonna be required. After that, grab a pair of calipers and an electronics catalog and find a suitable replacement. Mine were like 80 cents each from Mouser. De-soldering is a cinch with a solder sucker, and re-soldering is easy too with a 40 watt iron. Just don't dwell too long in one spot. My Quadrasynth and K2000 are both due for this procedure. When I do it, I'll document it digitally.

Members deadvolvo1
I'm not sure but you can check to see if they are the same ones used in the JD-800. Look at the service manuals. If they are, I can give you the part numbers from Mouser or Digikey.
