Members HANGMAN
Hello I'm looking for reccomendations for a midi keyboard interface for use with cubase, preferably 61 keys that also has phantom power so that I can use it as an all in one for controlling vstis and recording external synths and vocals from a condenser mic. Up to now I have been using an m-audio ozonic keyboard but I find the low number of keys limiting. Other than that I am happy with the Ozonic so if anyone knows of a similar keyboard (not too expensive please) only with more keys please give me your suggestions. Thanks in advance
Members ElectricPuppy
If I understand you correctly, you want a keyboard with a built-in audio interface. The closest thing I can think of is the Novation X-Station. You can use it as a knobby keyboard controller and as an audio interface. However, it's also a full-fledged synth on its own, not just a plain controller. I'm not aware of any controller-only keyboards with an audio interface. Members Pr3Va1L
At the price I got my X-Station, I figured I was getting a free synth... Depends on your way to see it!
Members MartinHines
Another way to go would be a separate midi only USB controller keyboard, combined with a small USB or Firewire audio interface. There are a lot of small audio interfaces on the market today.
Gus Lozada
With phantom power... only small format keyboards like the Ozonic or Line 6's TonePort.
