Members Nillerbabs
I finally realized the importance of protecting my gear! I think I'm gonna get myself a Gator ATA 61 key case for my Electro 73. There's only one problem: the case is 44", while the Nord is 44.1". Darn - is there a workaround, is the case flexible or is the interior somehow expandable - could I get out my old saw and file and do something about it? Or is there a slight chance that it might actually fit? Thanks guys
Members Gribs
Is the Nord NHC-73 considered a bad case for some reason? Nord NHC-73 deal at Novamusik
Members Jez
Is the Nord NHC-73 considered a bad case for some reason? Nord NHC-73 deal at Novamusik If I liked Nords, that's the case I'd have It's bright red, too! Epic win. Regarding the Gator, I have the bigger one and I've just had a poke around - the "foam" at the edges is very rigid with not much give. You might try the classic "shove it the {censored} in" technique... you only need to gain .1", but I can't honestly say if it will work or not. Members Nillerbabs
Thanks guys. Sounds pretty annoying about that .1". I'd just prefer an ATA case for relatively light weight.
Members T71
I'd pass on the Gator keyboard cases. They don't use sealed valances. Have you checked out the SKBs? This one has 48" of interior width: http://www.skbcases.com/music/products/proddetail.php?f=&id=99&o=&offset=1&c=76&s=
Members Nillerbabs
Yes, I have. However, I found the Gators to be more practical. This, Sir;They don't use sealed valances certainly changes my opinion! Could it not be problematic having 4" of empty space in the case? I imagine filling this with foam or a towel might do. That particular type of case uses adjustable foam lined cleats to hold the keyboard in place, so no problem there. http://www.sweetwater.com/images/items/1800/SKB5820W-xlarge.jpg

Members mate_stubb
Take a look at the Pelican gun cases. Waterproof, and they float for those anxious times when you transport your Nord by gondola. http://www.pelican.com/cases_detail.php?Case=1750
