Stay with the Novation 49SL or go with the Axiom 49?

OK... total newbie home recording (learning, playing.. nothing serious.. you get the idea) start up.

Got a presonus firebox for input, computer, speaks, etc and was looking at keyboard controllers..

Was down to the Axiom 49 when I found a closeout Novation 49SL Compact for sale at GC for $250.. and picked that up. I have 30 days to make up my mind, but wanted to get some feedback from more knowledgeable folks. I have to say, I like the keyboard on the Novation a little better than the Axiom (action kind of more like my Nord Electro II, in between the Axiom and the Akai)

I am using Ableton as the DAW (mostly because of the nice help features :) )

Any further input would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I think key feel is the most important aspect of a controller. If you like how it feels, keep it. Don't worry about whether it has the most features vs. whatever. Besides, Novation provides automap templates specifically for Live, so explore those if you haven't already. Go check out Novation's site for more info on that.

Thanks! I have just started playing with the automap features.. (this stuff is absolutely not intuitive) I mean in general, not the automap specifically.

I am very computer literate, and have been playing guitar and piano for a long time, but trying to break into this home recording stuff is not for the "faint of heart" and doing it as a "hobby" is like going to the dentist for a "vacation"..
