Is excellent choice imo. The higher end hifi bass rigs like Eden, Eden Nemesis, and Genz Benz outperform most keyboard combo amps Ive heard quite easilly to my ears. As long as the bass speaker cabs are full range (compression or titanium tweeter if not useing ten inch bass drivers or in some cases with ten inch drivers. Never piezo tweeters theyre just gross sounding esp if you use any overdrive imo). Useing PA is ideal then just use a nice ten inch (or pair of for little stereo rig) bass combos for your stage monitor. For loud and very fine stereo keyboard rig something like a pair of Eden nemesis 1x15 combos plus the extension 1x15 cabs would be very nice hifi loud rig with four 15"s plus comp tweeters. Alternately the JBL Eon powered 15/s or 10/s is good choice for pro level rig. Peaveys bass combos are also good choice for budget rig. Along with acoustic's 10 or 12 inch combo bass amps.

Ive preferred bass combo amps for synths, processed bass guiytar , and processed electric guitar for more then ten years. To me their better choice then keyboard amps sound wise and for bang for buck.

Instruments to mixer which then feeds the pair of amps for stereo rig. For at home, prefers useing powered monitors rather then combo amps. Better volume and lower air movement which are both desireable for small house to apt situations. Lol.

well i'm tempted to sell my bass rig and a few extra basses since im only playing keys now to get the best key set up i can ... so cash may not be an issue ... what would an ideal set up be thats really portable for a single stage monitor that could also get me enough volume in smaller venues
