Members Numina
Just a quick question, I received a PP payment for a synth with a different name than the person I'm sending the synth to. Is there any current scam mthod going on I should be aware of? The PP funds cleared and I've spoken with the buyer off and on the past month. He's in LA and I'm shipping it to him. Just making sure that there isn't some scam where afte I ship it the funds are somehow ripped away from me. J.
Members eric
What was the buyer's explanation for this? I would ask this and evaluate my comfort level in case he may be using an unauthorized source of funding that could backfire. If it feels ok and you're willing to take the risk, make sure you have the info well detailed in writing. I'm not aware of some scam other than potential of a PayPal acct hijack. Members Numina
Hi, thanks for the reply. I asked the buyer just a few moments ago about the name difference and here's his response: "Its me. * My complete name is 'NAME1 NAME2 NAME3 NAME4' * There was a confusion when I signed up for paypal and ebay. * Here in the U.S. people just use a name and a last name. * I am from Bolivia and over there we use the complete name. * I am also 4 years new in the country. So you imagine. * I understand your concern. But for your serenity I will send you within the next 2 hours a copy of my DL. * It has* with my complete name in it.* * Thanks for asking. I apreciate your worries to make this transaction clear. * Best Regards NAME2 NAME3" I'm probably being overly paranoid doing a long distance sale via CL but the guy has been really open... So it's probably ok. J.
Members SoundwaveLove
I don't know, but it seems like if the payments cleared, then it's your money right? Move it into your bank account if you're feeling sketched out.

Members Numina
I'd transfer PP money to my bank but I've already exceeded the $500 limit (it's been a good month for music income). Thanks for the input. I feel good about it as well. - J.
