Members poumtschak
The website isn't responding, and no E-MU or Creative appears in the NAMM 2010 exhibitors list. http://www.who.is/whois/emu.com/

Members Stabby
E-MU was gone a long time ago. I wouldn't say that. The Xboard is the best (well, least bad) midi keyboard on the market. Reminds me to buy one for having aftertouch on my MO8
Members Acid Hazard
I know, it's a nice board, i had the 25 version. But as a music instrument company, it's been dead for years.
Members kazper
Recently I had looked on the (CLabs)web site and they referred to the pro stuff as Creative Professional (E-MU). They were long gone 10-12 years ago...
Members mate_stubb
They have been gone seems like for ever... R.I.P. E-MU. Of course for me, they were gone when they started doing the rompler proteus stuff. Here are some E-MUs I have known, owned and loved. And the one I coveted but which got away:

Members Franz Schiller
E-mu was destroyed by the same monster that killed Ensoniq, and all of the great ideas that they had were sunk to the bottom of the ocean like Atlantis.

Members elsongs
Emu long/short boards now shipping: http://www.gearjunkies.com/news_info.php?news_id=4624 Yes, that's what E-mu has become. The company that was a pioneer and brought sampling to the masses is now...just an M-Audio wannabe
Members mocity
Ensoniq was a very cool little company. I was sad to see them go. I was sad to see Sonic Foundry end, too. I was also sad to see.... the list goes on..
Members Gaul
Emu long/short boards now shipping:http://www.gearjunkies.com/news_info.php?news_id=4624 Just looked at their manual. With all those moogs and leads, they didn't suply a simple portamento. What a shame.
Members synthman1
E-MU is still with us. As noted above the just released a low cost performance sample based synth. E-MU still make Proteus/Emulator soft synths, other midi controllers/intefaces as well. http://www.emu.com/ Digital Sound factory supports E-MU and Ensoniq and has some great library recreations of Emax, MR-76, MO line, etc. http://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/ E-MU still offers the Proteus VX for free. Its a little tricky to install and get set up, but a great rompler softy for no cost. The Xboard is the best (well, least bad) midi keyboard on the market. Agreed. The keybed is nice and light with great aftertouch. Its small, lightweight and ship with Proteus soft synth. I think its a modified Fatar or a non-weighted version. Not quite as stiff or slow as the standard TP.
