Sequencer looks great. One (or 2) will be mine. I have some of the stackable cables - the work! Great to have them in the eurorack format. The downside is that they are expensive ($8 regardless of length), but I'm sure that he isn't making them in huge quantities. Z-DSP is really nice also. I've heard really good things about their oscillator, but haven't tried one yet. One of the many companies that is putting out great stuff in eurorack format.

yeah - that's the most likely scenario here too, money not being infinite - one of each.

I haven't been quite this short on funding when I've built a modular before, so I've had to do a bit more careful planning than usual. In some ways it's paying off, as I'm shaping a very coherent and complimentary system. On the other, I would just like to grab two of everything that looks cool :D

Wow, TipTop has some really cool new stuff happening there. I had already picked out their Z3000 oscillator as one of two possible candidates for my first modular (the other being livewire's audio frequency generator).

a choice for me here too between the makenoise rene and the tip top Z8000...interestingly enough even though they are both x,y type sequencers, they really are very different in their functionality....the makenoise seems more fun to interact with but the tip top has 10 freakin clocks!!!!....I was leaning toward the tip top at 400 bucks but now Im leaning more toward the rene....gotta find out the price though....Im thinking those touch plates are gonna jack up the price......then I will need a new case to power it with

That ZDSP thing is pretty frickin' sweet -- I really dig the idea of being able to clock the processor to an arbitrary external signal. This would make an excellent stand-alone module to use with a synth with alt outputs -- you could run the main outs through the inputs for audio, then use an alt out to screw with the clock signal... Me likey.
