I have cubase LE and a Yamaha PSR-262 keybord.The midi has always worked fine (despite being on a {censored} laptop). The laptop is a PC with windows Vista and 2 GB Ram, not sure what procassor, it's a lenovo. The problem is... I recently installed Reason, Pro 53, Rebirth and Wavelab onto the laptop... Wavelab wouldn't work because it's the 3rd time I've installed it onto a computer and it sems to have issues with that, so I uninstalled it. Rebirth also wasn't working for some reason, and I'm not killed on it so I uninstalled that one too. Ever since i installed the new programs my MIDI is giving me trouble, the keybord is communicating with the computer but instead of playing the VSTs in Cubase it's changing the programs in the VSTs and in Reason it's not doing anything, but the green MIDI indicator on the tracks is working, it just won't play the instruments in reason. I've checked the midi settings in both programs and all seems to be fine. I'm using a USB alesis IO/2 soundcard. Totally baffled can anyone help. Have the new programs upset some MIDI setting that I'm missing? and What should I do, got loads of songs being held up over this, and I feel it's something simple that I'm overlooking., It's definitely not the keybord anyway, I already checked in on a different system.
