Members butterknucket
Which is the better all around choice for ambient beds, as well as an all-around synth? I know the MicroKorg is more of a vocoder. I already use soft synths, but want to add to what I have with one of these, plus I'm a guitar player getting into this kind of thing so go easy on me. Members soundwave106
I recommend an Alesis Andromeda for ambient pads. The Micron / Microkorg (MHO) won't get you anything you won't get out of a really good softsynth.
Members SoundwaveLove
I modded the housing on my microkorg to fit inside a pillow, so it's really great now for ambient beds. THe problem is it vocodes my snoring and my girlfriend complains that it sounds too indy.

Members Darkstorm
I like the Microkorg better. Richer sound to my ears. Got the Microkorg instead of as a result myself. Still love it too.

Members Tomkeen
How is the Nord Lead 2x on ambient pads? It doesn't do moving pads like the wavestation, but it does do a good pad sounds. Those knobs can do a lot of great things
