Members wwwjd
what's your fave FREE Piano vsti?Just looking for something that sounds great.I love the Piano in ProTools - might be the best computer one I have but it was not "Free" So, what is the best sounding FREE Piano VSTI you found?I have: DSK KEYS, MDA Piano, 4Front Piano, and a couple other lesser quality ones.... guess I should revisit Proteus VX and see what it has. Post up? [PS I has decent pianos in X50, MM6, NanoPiano, but seeking good free VST to mess with. ProTools Piano is RTAS only]
Members mister natural
I thought 4Front was OK within a big mix. If you're looking for a "solo" piano, you're prolly gonna need to spend. FWIW - If you're a LIVE user, PureMagnetik has the PMGrand which sounds fantastic w/ lots of tweaks available. I'm using this almost exclusively lately & very happily. $12 is "practically" free http://www.puremagnetik.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=261:pm-grand&catid=76:keyboards&Itemid=157 respect
Members wwwjd
thanks! So far, after inextensive testing, PROVA or GENERAL Piano from Swaifan has topped my list for best sound of a freebie. still trying to get Maestro Concert Grand (1gig!) free piano up and running, it might be the best freebie, not sure yet. Proteus Piano was also usable, but I didn't have the time nor vloume to really test it - and has a boatload of other useful stuff in it as well
Members mister natural
yeah, I thought ProteusVX sounded cool, for a free rompler - but could never get my head around the interface - very, very clunky I then spent $100. on Dimension Pro & couldn't be happier with the sounds there. EPainos & strings, in particular
Members wwwjd
yeah the interface seems REALLY weak. But I've got purchased Pianos, looking for the best FREE one because then, wherever I go to mix, I can always download and install it if needed. And the footprint will be smaller also Carting around and/or installing purchased Pianos is a pain in the watoosie
