Members El Glom-o
Who played organ on "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", and is it a Hammond? Sure is cool not having it come in until the second verse, like the piano in "You Really Got Me", and just playing long chords.
Members AnalogBastard
John Fogerty played the Hammond B-3 on that song, probably after being inspired by Booker T. Jones, with whom they had done some sessions with prior to recording, Have You Ever Seen The Rain.
Members El Glom-o
Thanks for the info. I didn't know that they had ever played with Booker T.
Members zxcvbnm098
Booker T and the MG's opened up for them on tour and were featured in a TV special on CCR that ran in January of 1970. I think it was called "In Concert" or something close.

I remember the ABC show "In Concert", but I don't know if CCR was ever on it or not, or if that's the show you're referencing. As I's writing this, "Time Is Tight" just came on the TV music channel. Members tremens
Have You Ever Seen the Rain? well, in southern California I didn't.Regarding that song and Hammond, I always thought something is missing in that part. I bet some amateur organist played that.

Members tim gueguen
In fact if I'm not mistaken one of the CCR remasters from a couple of years back includes CCR and the MGs jamming as one of the bonus tracks.
