drum machine that takes foot pedals?

Are there any drum machines/samplers out there that let you record a beat on the fly with a foot controller or midi controller? For example I tap a tempo on an external pad(roland spds) then start playing a beat, hit record with a footswitch and lay down a measure or two. Then it loops what I played. Basically a drum machine that can record live and I can initiate recording with a foot pedal or midi message.
