Members Plink Floyd
It wouldn't be at all difficult to devise a standard test method. Something that dropped a certain weight from a certain height to a certain point of a key with reliable repeatability is certainly feasible. But getting all the mfgrs to use it is the Quixotic part. Members AnotherScott
"Weighted" is not simply a matter of a resistance that can be measured...if it was, anything with simply a sufficiently strong spring could qualify as heavily weighted. So "semi" doesn't mean "lightly," -- rather, it refers to creating some of the effect of a traditional weighted keyboard without the the more complicated mechanism, by basically adding more resistance to simpler designs. And it never works very well. ;-)
