Members bruto
Yea it pretty cool. The cell phone camera doesn't do it any justice though. Any idea what synth he's playing?
Members KingVidiot
I always thought the Z1 had great modeled brass stuff, even has falloffs and wobbles (whatever you call it). The 01/w was also good for brass, as well as a lot of other stuff.
Members minimoog
To Good to sound like a Keyboard patch , But to my ears it sounds more like a VST Or they made a patch with using the original Recording

Members JeffLearman
Saw those guys in 1986; they rocked. Played a smallish venue that was totally packed: when the folks next to you jumped, you'd better jump too. The crowd was into their heavy thrash stuff, all energy, but I liked the parts best when they pulled back, executing tight strategic maneuvers that held all that energy pent up and about to burst. The thrashy stuff, anyone could have done. The strategic stuff showed the serious musicianship behind the band. The whole posted above is about 30% of the energy level of the show I saw, and that's not a criticism. Plus they're totally dry. The show I saw, water was flying everywhere. Peter Garret had a water bottle, and he knew how to use it! I cringed thinking of maintaining their gear. He'd pour water on drums or cymbals and the drummer would smack them and water would fly everywhere, and the lighting highlighted the effect. That does sound good, and IMHO keyboard brass usually sounds cheesy if there isn't at least one horn player. I bet it's a sample of real horns playing that line, as mentioned above. Members Crazyfoo
The tempo seems a touch fast compared to the original recording.

Members BonsoWonderDog
Great song. Peter Garrett is a better musician than politician, that's for sure.

"Strategic" :-) Yes, serious musicianship with those guys, and a lot of energy. Oh, and I think it's samples from the original sessions, too. Members A Happy Crowd
There are live horn players at the back left corner of the stage. They're briefly visible when the camera zooms out at the end of the song. I like how when the drummer is about to sing backup, someone swings a mic into place for him and then swings the mic away when he's finished singing. Members KingVidiot
I always liked the song, but I'm not a fan of Garrett's voice. He always sounds like he's straining to get the notes out.
