Members ckjbod Posted June 24, 2002 Members Share Posted June 24, 2002 I attended the brotherhood of elves convention today.The elves were happy and had a lot to say.An elf came up to me and spoke my name.I said "Nice to meet you. You're a nice looking dame."She smiled a heavenly smile showing all her teeth.It was my hand in marriage that i wished to bequeath.I asked her to marry me when I was on my knees.In which she replied "Only if you say pretty please."At that moment I gave her a glorious kiss.She then gave me a smack in the face and said "I've had enough of this!"I tried to stop her but she ran away.From that moment on I've cried everyday.Just as I thought I had found my one true love.She flew far far away with the help of a dove.Every now and then I think of her face--so sweet!I long for the day when I can suck her feet! Still kind of not finished. Might add a few more lines. I think I'm gonna record and kind of sing it like Daniel Johnston and pretend I'm serious. Tell me what you think. Members djelf Posted June 26, 2002 Members Share Posted June 26, 2002 probably from that sweet "supergroup" The Killer Dwarves (80s) I'm in WI, and Modest Mouse is heard occassionally at some hip kids house (my friends, of course:rolleyes: ). What 's the connection anyway? Can I mention Mouse On Mars? Those are neat lyrics, although the presentation will affect how they are recieved--you're idea of kind of a tongue-in-cheese seiousness sounds interesting. My band is elfbelly... Except we are no longer a band, both of my friends moved. This song isn't from that band though, I basically just wrote this. Elfbelly. Thats an awesome name. Modest Mouse is my favorite band!!!! There were some of our songs on Audiogalaxy. I'm not sure if they are still there anymore since its been kind of shutdown. But you might be able to still download them. We only sung songs about elves/fantasy and stuff (I hate fantasy by the way, but my friends like that type of {censored}). I wrote/sung the words to every song and my friends played guitar. Members djelf Posted June 28, 2002 Members Share Posted June 28, 2002 Fantasy,....aahhh, escape...birds are all singing under a magic rainbow with little firm-breasted nymphs cavorting seductively.. yeah, it's pretty gross, but I do like imagination. our band (elfbelly) doesn't write particularly fantasized stuff, yet it retains elixir. how else can I say it? for a promo once, I used the phrase "transcendental realism" we celebrate the uniqueness of ordinary stuff without really trying or ever thinking about it until times like this Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
