Members bogiebbs Posted March 29, 2003 Members Share Posted March 29, 2003 i recently started writing down some ideas in a notebook. but i cant sing to save my life so when i try and then try to work some chords around them it just sounds like the most god awful thing ever. If you think you can't sing, listen to Tom Waits, Bob Dylan.. then reconsider what you said They got good lyrics but what comes ouf of their mouth is far from a singing voice. (sorry if I insulted anyone, I like Waits myself). I haven't sung anything in ages, but was in a choir once. It basically works like free singing lessons, you should think about trying. Members sahhas Posted March 31, 2003 Members Share Posted March 31, 2003 yea, there have been lots of "classic" groups who had singerswho were not that great or just ave, but you get used to them. i think it's all about confidence as well as finding your voice.there are loads of "singers" who make their name on not being avery good singer. it's also about getting used to hearing your own voice also....it can be disturbing the first few times you hear it.....good lucks--- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
