Let me know what you think of my song! I'm ecording with session musicians in Nashville soon, so I need feedback. It's a Country Rock genre.

She Was A Real Good

2006 - Christopher Kai

VERSE 1

One look and I had to get her

More curves than a big league pitcher

No sir, they sure don't make 'em like that no more

I got her with a lot of persistence

Took her out for our first big weekend

Did things I ain't ever done before

PRECHORUS

I was just a youn buck

She was a real good...

CHORUS

You don't forget your first time

I was her's and she was mine

Once you find that love you're stuck

I know that love is blind

But I was seeing things just fine

And what I saw was a stroke of luck

She was a real good...

Truck

VERSE 2

I'd ride her off in the big fields

Mud flyin' off of her back wheels

We sure got dirty but we sure had fun

We'd end the day on her big bed

Staring at the stars over our head

Tailgatin' just waitin' for another run

PRECHORUS

I was so love struck

She was a real good

CHORUS

BRIDGE

Now her shade of red is a shade of rust

She's a hundred thousand miles plus

But I ain't ever gonna' give her up

CHORUS

present tense...

TAG

She is a real good

She is a so good

She is a damn good truck

_______________

Thanks in advance!

The lyrics are strong, in that Nashville-song-machine way. The demo vocals are very wobbly, with some serious pitch/tone issues. I don't know what your goals are, but I could see this getting pitched to the Toby Keith type of singer. You'd need to hire a demo singer to get it across, though.

Yeah, this is one take, just so you guys had something to listen to. I wanted to get feedback on the song before taking it to Nashville to have demo singers/musicians cut the thing for my publisher. I'm feeling good about y'alls reviews, though. Thanks!
