The mix of synths and heavy distorted sounds creates some amazing textural harmonies. The tonal harmonies you use are also really awesome. The piece, unlike many instrumentals, is incredibly interesting from start to finish. The drums do a great job of supporting and staying interesting without distracting from the guitar lines. No there is no synth used in this song, it is only a Variax 500 for all instruments. Guitarport/Riffworks is quite cool, especially for getting down song ideas quickly. Rock on!
