Members eeglug
It lacks energy LOL. Whew, no lack of commitment on that one. I wish the vocal sections were more developed - as it is it's a cool excuse to show off some hot guitar and tight arrangements. Can't fault the overall quality though - very well put together as usual.
Members samkristy2
Damn, that guitar tone is something! Cool song with great singing and playing and not too overly long as some guitar solo driven songs seem to always be. You got your point across in a timely fashion. You showed off your chops, but didn't turn the song into 7 minutes of "hey, look at how talented I am everyone, here's another solo" About the only thing I could nitpic was that I wasn't in love with the snare sound. Thought it could have had more snap and sizzle to really bring out the groove. Enjoyed it very much sam
Members BATSBREW
thanks eeglug this one was fun to play...i had originally wanted to do some more harmony work, and recorded it, but when i went to mix it, it just sounded 'bolder' to me, to have mostly the one vox.as it is, the lead vox, was actually sung twice, and both tracks are blended on top of each other.that was probably the hardest part of the whole song, nailing the lead vox twice. samkristy2 that song, is 2:10.LOLshortest song i've ever done..but, it really wanted to be that way.... short, sharp, in your face. the main riff, starts on the 7, and always messes with my head!my amp 'suffers no fools' (shows all mistakes) and i had to really practice that one til is was smooth. i would like to brighten the snare up a bit like you suggest..there was some masking going on somewhere, on another track, that occured everytime i tried ANY high frequency on the snare.... and i just never dialed it in. thanks for listening
