Hi I take one song at the time:

Blood on the livingroom floor

I totally dig this song. Do you know the danish band called Murder (sorry, but that is really their name). The mood of your song is sooo much like theirs and I really like the downplayed, simple feel of it.

(You can find soundclips from their music here)

Especially the song "Where the bees are sleeping" are so much like your song in respect to mood. Maybe you can listen this and be inspired.

I don't like the sound of the guitaroutro. It feels like it's in a wrong song. You should try to find another sound that is more on par with the songs mood and feel.

I like the project and would love to hear more from you guys. If you can do anything remotely like Murder, then you are very much worth spending time on.

Coming Down

This one I am not particular in to. I don't know excactly what I think of it, but it doesn't hit me. Maybe I miss the drums on this one, as it is upbeat. Maybe I just wanted something more like the first one. They're obviously quite unlike each other.

I recognise the guitarsound from the first song. The sound of the guitar suits this song better. You have something like a U2 sound filling in and trying to boost the sound a little. I don't know if that actually works with or against you on this one.

I can't really poit a finger on a definite factor that is wrong here, but it lacks any mood and feel I can connect to. But that is only my opinion, based on my personal preferences.

I think your project sounds interesting and as mentioned in the previous post I would love to hear how it develops.:thu:

macresto,

Thanks for your comments. With regards to "Coming down" I totally agree that the song needs some drums. We are trying to reel in a drummer at the moment. As for lack of mood and feel..I can understand what you're saying, but I don't have any fix for it at the moment. Maybe it lacks a bit of that emotional connection that can take a song from being a normal upbeat rocker to something that makes you want to go all halleluja (in a non religious sense). We'll figure it out with time.

Listened a bit to Murder. Thanks for the tip. Will listen more closely to the songs later. (Myspace was crapping out on me right now) What I managed to hear was cool.
