Inspired and frustrated..

So..right now i'm having a very difficult time in my life. Struggling to figure out what to do with my life, struggling with an extremely special relationship..everything kind of sucks right now. That being said, I have a ton of inspiration to start writing music.

I have a lot of creative energy and inspiration swelling up inside of me, I can feel it's there. The problem is..i don't feel that I'm good enough at guitar to get my ideas out. I'm not clever enough to write meaningful lyrics..and I don't feel like I can take advantage of the situation I'm in and the emotions I feel. I really want to get all of this creativity out, so that I can create something beautiful. Something that will touch someone's life.

Anyone have any tips or advice? Venting kind of helped..

yeah, i have a tip: shut up and write.

....seriously. stop overthinking and looking at a 'big picture.' just finish the damned song. and FINISH it. don't leave it. just get THAT ONE out of the way so you can do the NEXT one. don't fall into the trap of thinking your song is going to be perfect. work on 'done.' 'perfect' is intangible. 'done' is right in front of you.

yes in the other thread someone had this great quote, what was it,

"Great art is clear thinking about mixed feelings".

I get the same feeling. I just want to sit down and make something achingly beautiful. I rarely do. I come up with disturbing, unsettling things most of the time  . Oh well, works for me.

Just, what Blue2Blue said. Keep writing!! And no one is ever good enough on guitar. I know you said "not good enough to get my ideas out" but.... erm.... oh crap.

I need to get this thing out, badly.

lol out of context this is pretty funny. I'm in an immature mood today, ha ha.
