Members ixelion
This is my first real attempt at putting together a song. Some notes:By no means is this suppose to be polished recording, at best a rough demo. The song does not ascribe to any particular style of folk instead I went for what I like to call "peasant folk" i.e. simple melodies with minimal legato. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=6538678 Crits are greatly appreciated. Members Bryer M.
well your going to want to play it a little faster for metal. if this were in 4th notes play 16t or 32nd notes, keep timing the same, just kind of do a constand picking thing for the lead parts. for the rythm do that but like once you strum, do that to the bass note (the fast picking) unless you want to just hold a note every now and then. also because you titled this as metal don't be afraid to use wammy bar when holding notes. Members ixelion
Yeah I think I understand what you mean, now that I have listened to more melodic death stuff I think the pace could be picked up a bit. I plan on doing that for future songs but I will keep this one the same just because I think it holds up adequately on it's own (and I am too lazy to re-write everything ). But thanks for the comment I will definitely pick up the tempo next time, especially after listening to some In Flames, and Insomnium stuff by comparison my track is quite slower paced.
