crate V Series V18-112 18W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp

Sound Quality

I have used the amp in a few different settings and with a variety of instruments. I like it, especially for the price. I just wanted to say that after reading one of the reviews here, I was able to target the back of the cabinet as the source of buzzing at certain frequencies. I fixed it by gluing small plumbing washers to the inside of the screw holes to absorb the vibration - it's fine now. Thanks to whoever made that post to tip me off. Perhaps my solution can help others.

I have used the amp without backup & it's sturdy and reliable.

General Comments

It's the right size and sounds great when I plug the right effects into it. By itself, it's still very usable. Many others have ragged on the reverb. I like it. It's deep if you want it, and easily adjustable if you don't. For the price, I would probably get another if this one fell off the truck. It's hard to find easily protable amps that are loud enough and sound decent for a gig at less than 200 bucks.
